Hello everyone,

I have a question that's connected with the audio volume in guest systems.

I notice a really interesting thing.

When starting a virtual machine for a first time (e.g. after running a
virtualbox or after shutting guest system down than powering on) the audio
volume is pretty loud. It can be even louder than the host sound itself.

But if we reboot the guest system, the sound will get a lot more quieter
after that.

I can notice it in all installed guest linux systems I have.

Debian 11, Debian 9 and slackware.

However, I haven't checked that on windows guest system yet.

Is it something that should work like that or it is a bug?

Why does the volume lower?

Or maybe it's initial loud state isn't a right volume and it sets to normal
after rebooting?

I use virtualbox 6.1.26 on windows.

This situation appears in ac97 audio card and also in intel hd audio.

Thank you in advance!
