Howdy,
Hi,
I'm trying to install Stream 9 in a VM under VirtualBox-7.2.97-171659-Linux_amd64.run and VirtualBox-7.2.97-171529-Linux_amd64.run, both of which exhibit the same problem.
Why are you using these snapshot, doesn't your distribution provide a stable (and tested) VirtualBox package to install? What is the host?
The VM boots fine and displays the first screen of the installation dialogue that asks which language to use. The minute I poke the "continue" button, the mouse pointer disappears. Seemingly forever. I can't even get out of the VB VM manager screen... I have to kill the Centos instance of VB in order to recover from this. At this point in time, the installation dialogue is worthless since it seems to require a functioning mouse. Is this a known problem? Is there a "known" fix for this? I'm proceeding with the download of Stream 10 in order to test it's installer (hoping that the problem has been fixed). I don't see any informative (to me) information in the VM Logs directory. Any/all hints/tips/suggestions would be gratefully accepted.
Sorry but I'm new to VirtualBox so I dunno if it is a know issue, you can check the reported bug list on GitHub maybe it can help:
