Hello Michael,

yes, guest additions have been installed.
I changed the resolution on changing it at the guests "Display Options".

I resized the GUI-window with no change so far.
I tried the "resize guest to window" option at the GUI, also switching to
Fullscreen, and nothing happened.
I restarted the guest with no luck, set the Graphics-Memory up to 32MB and
restartet, still no go.

I'm not quite sure if the guest is still running in that state, because I
can not even see any activity on pressing mousebuttons or moving the mouse.
I also tried to set the "Ask on changing display resolution"-option at xp
(where you are able to approve the change of the display resolution, and if
not, it'll be reset to the last option set), and even that didn't change the
resolution back after setting the new resolution.

Maybe it's a problem concerning the Guest Additions, such that the guest
crashes?

Thanks and best regards

Carsten

Hello Carsten,

A couple of questions:

Have you installed the guest additions on your XP guest? And how are
you changing resolution in the guest? When you lose sight of the start
menu and things, have you tried (as a work-around) resizing the GUI
window in the host?

Regards,

Michael
