I don't find anythign about this in the manual, but if I run VirtualBox
from the menu then it fails with an error when starting the guest.

If I run it as 'gksudo VirtualBox' then everything is fine. It even
finds the guest that I created as and stored in my normal-user account.

It's a bit strange though, after it crashed once or twice and then I run
as root again it then DID want to use the /root folder to look for
virtual machines. Killing all related processes didn't really help.

So what's the preferred way of running it? If it's as a normal user,
then are there any permissions that need to be set? (Ubuntu Edgy)

Cheers,
Chanchao
