When you discard the last (and the only left) snaphost w/o discarding 
also the current state (i.e. select "Discard Snapshot" rather than 
"Discard Current Snapshot and State" action), the changes in the last 
snapshot will be merged into the main (base) VDI before the snapshot is 
deleted.
