Hi,

I am running VirtualBox on Debian etch and try to access
my external USB CD drive from a guest Windows XP installation
(Guest Additions installed).

I unmounted the drive before starting vbox and normally can
use the CD drive from the user I started VirtualBox from.
But when trying to access it from the guest Windows XP via
Devices > USB Devices > PLEXTOR DVDR PX-750A [0418]
(the device is listed) I get the following error:

Failed to attach the USB device PLEXTOR DVDR PX-750A [0418] to
the virtual machine winxp.

Not permitted to open the USB device, check usbfs options.

Result Code:          0x80004005
Component:           Console
Interface:               IConsole {1dea5c4b-0753-4193-b909-22330f64ec45}

What exactly does it mean to "check usbfs options" and how can I
change them? (There is no usb* or cdrom group in my Debian
installation but using the "Users and Group" tool the box
"Use CD-ROM drives" is checked).

Thanks, Dietrich
