I put a lot of time and effort into this earlier in the year using vbox
1.3.6 and 1.3.8. The developers didn't seem to find the subject
interesting (which is a pity given that innotek have done so much
excellent work for the OS2 community over the years). There was some
commercial interest in using Warp Server as a vbox HOST, but none in
running any flavour of warp as a GUEST.

I have several different warp systems - warp 4 FP17, ecs 1.1, ecs 1.2,
warp server. I tried booting from real floppies, floppy images on disk,
installer from CD and live system from CD (and CD images from disk). The
results varied between hopeless and very nearly successful.

I also tried VMware - but that was completely hopeless. I tried QEMU and
got very close to something that worked.

I think the problems are related to the simulated BIOS and devices, but
didn't have time to do any serious diagnosis. I did try LOTS of options
with the QEMU bios package, but again didn't get lucky.

In my opinion, everything you google about OS2 and virtual machines is
out of date - the VM products have moved on and left OS2 behind... and
not working.

I'm using an ASUS motherboard and intel core 2 duo. Symptoms are
different with and without VT support enabled, but it doesn't work for
me either way.

I haven't given up, but am not sure when I will be able to spend a
significant amount of time on the problem. Let me know if you get any
further!
