Should be pretty obvious. It's not "us" contacting them, it's the MSI stuff written by Microsoft which does that when verifying the signatures. Since 1.4.0 the installer (and its contents) are digitally signed by innotek. So all it does is verifying whether the certificate is still valid. AFAIK the MSI installer we provide doesn't run any innotek-written binary code at install time. > > [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ whois 64.18.25.38/ > > OrgName: Baltimore Technologies > OrgID: BALTIM-8 > Address: 77 A Street > City: Needham > StateProv: MA > PostalCode: 02494 > Country: US > > NetRange: 64.18.16.0 - 64.18.31.255 > CIDR: 64.18.16.0/20 > NetName: CYBERTRUSTCIDR > NetHandle: NET-64-18-16-0-1 > Parent: NET-64-0-0-0-0 > NetType: Direct Allocation > NameServer: NS3.US.BETRUSTED.NET > NameServer: NS4.US.BETRUSTED.NET > Comment: > RegDate: 2001-07-11 > Updated: 2005-10-24 > > RTechHandle: GOM-ARIN > RTechName: Global Operations Manager > RTechPhone: +1-443-367-7000 > RTechEmail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > RTechHandle: NM47-ARIN > RTechName: Moscone, Nick > RTechPhone: +1-781-455-4300 > RTechEmail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > RTechHandle: SNE2-ARIN > RTechName: Senior Network Engineer > RTechPhone: +1-443-367-7000 > RTechEmail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > OrgTechHandle: SNE2-ARIN > OrgTechName: Senior Network Engineer > OrgTechPhone: +1-443-367-7000 > OrgTechEmail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > # ARIN WHOIS database, last updated 2007-08-11 19:10 > # Enter ? for additional hints on searching ARIN's WHOIS database. > [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ -- Dr. Klaus Espenlaub innotek GmbH, http://www.innotek.de _______________________________________________ vbox-users mailing list [email protected] http://vbox.innotek.de/mailman/listinfo/vbox-users
