I loaded up 2.2 beta-1, put a Windows guest on it and played audio from you tube. The audio was choppy. When I last tried to use virtual box plus XP guest as a speech recognition platform, I had the same problem of the audio in was also choppy. I know is no physical or electronic reason for bad USB audio because the "other" virtualization system makes it work right.
