Then I guess I need your help to install them on one of my Linux guests. The version of VirtualBox is 2.2.0. (It runs on Windows Server 2003.) The modules seem to be built but they failed to install. Here's the output I get when I run VBoxLinuxAdditions-x86.run: [Beginning of output] [Archive validation and uncompressing messages skipped] VirtualBox 2.2.0 Guest Additions installation Building the VirtualBox Guest Additions kernel module... Building the shared folder support kernel module... Building the drm support kernel module... Installing the VirtualBox Guest Additions... Unable to determine your Linux distribution [this line is displayed 7 times] Could not set up the X Window VBoxClient service. To start the VBoxClient service at log-in fror a given user, add the command 98vboxadd-xclient to the file .xinitrc in their home directory. Successfully installed the VirtualBox Guest Additions. You must restart your guest system in order to complete the installation. [End of output] The exit status is 0, but I cannot find '98vboxadd-xclient' anywhare on the guest system. Also, I have not installed the DKMS package. Any ideas what might be wrong?
