Yes, after your mail I deleted the existing VM and recreated it installing Win 
XP from an iso-image - the netbook doesn't have a dvd/cd lector. The 
resolution is still fixed at 800x600 but now with 32 bit colour depth. There 
is still no way to change the resolution. Additionally I found that I am not 
able to install the GuestAdditions. The iso-image of the guestAdditions is 
there.  Selecting 'Devices - mount CD/DVD-ROM - Manager for virtual media' 
the image is in the list of the mounted isos. But when I click on the option 
to install them, there is no reaction...
Any hint?
