There is a known problem of the 2.2.0 uninstall that is causing issues
for 2.2.0 to 2.2.2 update.
Please see http://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/3659#comment:18 on how to
solve that.
Regarding inability to uninstall protocols and network interfaces: it is
still possible in XP and in Vista like in 2k, i.e. protocols, services
and clients can be uninstalled via network connection properties UI,
while network interfaces can be uninstalled in an evarage way via device
manager

Guten Tag VirtualBox list,
after a complete Network Interface breakdown in my previous XP System
i had to install on a new Harddiskdrive.
I installed 2.2.2 over the 2.2.0 with a corrupt Network Interface
which i have not been able to repair, because in XP it is not possible
to deinstall Protocolls and Network Interfaces like it has been in
Win2k.
So i installed Debian Lenny and this will not break down any more...
