Good Morning everybody,

I just tried to import a OVF-Appliance into VB (2.2.2 PUEL) on my
openSUSE 11.1 host. The OVF was created by vmware's ovftool from a
Vmware Server VM.

After selecting the OVF, the settings were displayed. After that I
clicked "Import" (or whatever it was called), and the VMDK was created.
Same with the XML-File with the settings.

The creation of the VMDK, or rather the import of the vmdk went to 100%,
then the GUI hung up. All the buttons except CANCEL were greyed out, the
mouse told my VB was still working, but nothing happened. No CPU load
(in top), nothing visible.

After a while I pressed CANCEL, and the IMPORT-Window closed. The GUI
was not working, the buttons for START etc. were greyed out, also on
another previously working VM. I could select a different VM, but
nothing more.

I closed the VB window, and opened it again. Nothing, not even selecting
a VM. I restarted VB via /etc/init.d/vboxdrv, no change.

I did not test importing another OVF yet, I will export a VB machine to
OVF and reimport it, stuff like that.

But before I do this, has anyone experienced anything similar? Any hints?

Regards,
OJ
