Dear all,

On my windows XP laptop I have a virtual SL5 machine running in the Sun VirtualBox framework. The installation went smoothly and the system behaves well -- in particular the internet connection works like a charm. But I have two issues I'd like to solve:

1) I did not manage to setup a shared directory to exchange data between windows and linux. I did define it on the windows side via the VirtualBox settings menu but I can't mount the disk on the linux side. The manual (http://www.virtualbox.org/manual/UserManual.html) advocates the command

mount -t vboxsf [-o OPTIONS] sharename mountpoint

but the output is that this type of mount is not recognized by my SL5 machine. A google search wasn't conclusive either.

2) I'd like to connect to the virtual machine from elsewhere, in particular from windows XP using an SSH client. There is a lot of information on the web but nothing pedagogical-enough on SL for a non-expert user like me.

Any help would be much appreciated,

Cheers,

Nicolas
