On page 60 of the user manual, the first sentance of the second paragraph of section 4.1 states as follows:"The VirtualBox Guest Additions for all supported guest operating systems are provided as a single CD-ROM image file which is called VBoxGuestAdditions.iso." Where do I find that file?
Depends on what host OS you're talking about. If you use the VirtualBox GUI you don't have to worry about where the file is kept, as you can use the "Install Guest Additions..." menu item in the "Devices" menu. This mounts this ISO automatically
----------------------------------- N.B., I would have posed this question in the forum, but it is not possible for a person who is not yet a user of VirtualBox to register for membership in the forums. In addition to entering one's email twice a manifestly silly requirement), one must provide the version number of the VirtualBox software that on is currently using. A person not yet using the software cannot answer that question correctly. One silly requirement I can tolerate. Two is a DQ.
The reason for asking the user to enter the mail address twice is the sad truth that a surprisingly large portion of users mistype their mail address.
And about the anti-spam question about the VirtualBox version: there was already a wording change pending. It's now in place, and hopefully it is easier to understand. You're not supposed to enter the version you have installed, the question is about the last released version. Again it's a sad truth that spammers have people who take care of captchas, so that extra level of spam protection was unavoidable.
