I have now serious problems in the audio part of vbox with the guest W XP.
First when using the default pulseaudio driver and ICH AC97 sound is
somewhat distorted with a lot of rumbling constantly.
Using Soundblaster 16 (the other offered card) gives complete silence.
The best I found is OSS and ICH AC97.
Another problem, I assume related is that running a program, Finale,
which is a rather big music notation program, when the written music is
played the rate of display is irregular, adn suddenly slows to a crawl.
The use of one processor (4-core AMD) goes to 100%, stays there and and
the music playing goes slower and slower, making it useless.
I assume there are rather serious problems with the audio drivers but I
have no clue.
HW: 4-core AMD PhenomII; mem: 4 GB; OS; jaunty; vbox 3.06.
Can anybody help me out as I need this setup urgently.
