On 09/12 I sent this E-mail with respect to the resolution settings of
the virtualbox video adapter. Until now nobody reacted.
Here is the text again.

I have a guest system which will not give the correct resolution for my
monitor.
Host AMD Phenom II 4 GB mem. Video: Nvidia GEforce 8300;
monitor: 1440x900; OS: Jaunty; Guest: W XP.
In the guest I have as highest resolution 1034x768 32-bit.
I want when I switch to full screen have the 1440x900 resolution.
However the maximum I get is 1024x768. On an older system (Hardy vbox
2.2) this works although the highest resolution of the guest is
something odd (1232x864).
Apparently the virtual video card is limited but I don't understand why
vbox 2.2 gives this 1232x864 resolution and, when switched to full
screen, gives the correct resolution.
Can somebody inform me how the resolution for the guest OS can be
altered? i.e. adapt the virtual videocard?
