Hello, Matthew --
The first thing that you should do is completely uninstall VirtualBox --
even destroy the disk allocations for it, as far as I'm
concerned(!!!!!). The second step is to go to the VirtualBox web-site
and download version 3.0.8 -- and completely start from scratch with
that installation. The reason is that, eventually, you will almost
certainly want to do the upgrade, and this is the only way in which to
do it. So you may as well get an entirely new set of problems (and
resolve THEM) as to go through BOTH the current problems and a new set
of them as well. I certainly hope that this helps you somewhat.
