No idea how it started, but some people started recommending mounting usbfs at /sys/bus/usb/drivers to fix USB problems in Virtualbox, and the people who maintain the USB FAQ on forums.virtualbox.org caught onto it; however this breaks at least NetworkManager, and rather annoyed the author of that software, so we added that message as a courtesy. VirtualBox 3.0.10 does not even use usbfs by default (but you need to be a member of the "vboxusers" group to access USB devices). So I suggest that you try removing the entry in /etc/fstab - you can still get back to us if causes any issues.
