You might want to give 3.1 a try then. I just upgraded & the start up
zipped right along... well at least until I added the 3.1 guest
addition, then it seemed to bring the cpu up a bit. I should have done
an htop snapshot on 3.012 before upgrading. With 3.1 it spiked (very
briefly) to 88% on startup, but quickly settles in only about 2% once
the guest is up and running. Average high cpu during startup was around
60%.
