Hi! I got a gentoo linux system here with VirtualBox 3.1.0 (binary version) installed. Now I need my headsets microphone in the vm too.
With linux everything works great. I can record all mic/line-in ports and ALSA seem to be fine too. Just VB stays quiet and I have no clue why. I got an USB webcam with mic here too. If I forward it to the VM it is detected and I can even choose usb mic in windows but if I try it my system freezes. Nevertheless I want my headset mic though because it got much better sound quality. Anyone here an idea how I can forward my mic to the vm? Do I need some ALSA routing to special mic default channels? I really have no clue what's going wrong here. Hope anyone can help me out.
