I am (somewhat) successfully attempting to run a couple of older games
in a VM using VirtualBox 3.1.2. Specifically StarCraft and Age of Empires.
More specifically, The games install and run fine, but I have a problem
with the amount of screen resolution that they take up. Once a game is
started, the VirtualBox window resizes to 640x480 or 800x600, i.e. what
ever amount of space these older games would take up.
Going full screen keeps the game resolution small, with a lot of black
space on the rest of my display.
How do I get my game to resize/utilize the entire display, vs just a
small patch of the display???
Other specifics:
VirtualBox ver 3.1.2
guest os - windows xp
host os - OpenSolaris Nevada b113
hw - Sun Ultra 20 M2 - frame buffer Nvidia Quadro FX 1500 as shipped
from Sun.
