Hello,
I think I got a solution for that user problem. It only works with
vpopmail-4.9.4 because the newer versions seems to set the passes to
the user in a wrong way to the users. That means in the domains
vpasswd it shows to /home/vpopmail/domains/domain.com and in users
it shows just to /users/username. I dont know whats behind this but
I think this causes the authentication error to the users. To get
the mail delivered to the user I create a .qmail-username file with following
in it:
/home/vpopmail/users/username/Maildir/
So for that every mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] is going to the users
Maildir.
Now you can logg in with just a username. You should only be aware
to set up every username just one time otherwise you may run into
problems. I reckon this is only a good solution for
"Old-Mailsystem-Users" e.g.sendmail so you dont have to tell your
customers changing the settings, but for new users it doesnt matter.

Ken maybe you can solve that ip-alias-domains problem so everybody
can deside whether he wants to logg with user or full adress.
Never mind, you did a great job with vpopmail anyway keep going with
it.
