Use patch. The exact details depend on where you store vpopmail and the
patch. For instance, you could save the patch to a file in ~/tmp then
change to the vpopmail directory and do
patch < ~/tmp/vmysql-select-error.patch
Or, you could tell your mail client to pipe (|) the attachment to
patch ~/packages/vpopmail-4.*/vmysql.c
