Here's a couple of things I think would improve vpopmail:

Since a lot of us use Courier-IMAP or SqWebmail, or both, I'd like to see
vdelivermail support maildrop's quota and filtering mechanisms. While I
haven't yet looked into what is needed to accomplish this, I think a lot of
people would benefit from it. And I believe someone recently posted a patch
to make vdelivermail read maildrop's filters, but haven't tried it yet.

Also, I'd like to be able to control who can use SMTP-AUTH, similar to how
you can control IMAP and webmail. Since vchkpw is called directly via
tcpserver for this (and doesn't use the vpopmail library), I don't know how
it would be done. But it would be cool. I think SMTP-AUTH is a cleaner
solution than roaming users (which does work well for me, though).

As far as getting this system into corporate networks? I don't know why
they don't use it already ; ) But maybe maintaining packages like rpms
would encourage more people to try it. I don't know, as I think it's pretty
darn easy to install as it is.

Cheers,

Bill Shupp
