Hi,

As I said, I'm just telling how my installation of simscan goes...

I installed simscan with ripmime and now everything is working.
Does anybody know why it fails when you configure it with --disable-ripmime?

Now the permissions problem. Everything that is created in the "working
directory" is
owned by qmaild:nogroup, so as said in the docs the only way to make clam scan
those files
is running it as root.

Now the second question: I've test that if you run clam as qmaid it can scan
the files in
the working directory, but I don't know if I'm just making a security hole in
my box for
doing so...
Is it secure to run clam as qmaild?

Well Kareem I hope all this help with your installation.

Regards,

Agust?n
