Very much so. Let me fire up VPC and see what they call that...
Go to tools -> accounts -> then click the "mail tab".
Highlight the mail account in question and hit "properties".
Go to the "servers" tab, check off "my server requires authentication",
Then click the "advanced" tab. There's a checkbox under "smtp" that says "this server requires a secure connection (SSL)". Check it.
All set in a dozen easy steps. :)
