Thanks for the direction...but I appear to be following it as is. Stuff of
interest follows from my run file:

exec /usr/local/bin/softlimit -m 4000000 \
    /usr/local/bin/tcpserver -vR -l "$LOCAL" -c "$MAXSMTPD" \
        -u "$VPOPMAILUID" -g "$VPOPMAILGID" 0 smtp \
        /var/qmail/bin/qmail-smtpd \
        /home/vpopmail/bin/vchkpw /usr/bin/true 2>&1

Any other options ???
