[vchkpw] change Log_ service

[Quey]

Is there an easy  way to have logging go to another service like local1, 
local3 etc without having to massively edit all LOG_'s ?
I'd rather use messages file for real system stuff only, and its at a 
time where I need to enable logging for helpdesk staff.
