Hi,
I just added to jakarta-velocity-tools the package tools.
As per earlier discussions, this package is intended to
host various reusable context tools.
Currently it contains the following four tools:
- DateTool: Date and Calendar formatter
- MathTool: Floating point math
- RequestParser: Parses servlet request parameters
- ToolLoader: Allows context tools to be loaded from
within the template.
All tools are optimized for use with an auto-loading
toolbox manager. The package includes Javadoc and
documentation for the template designer. See

for a draft of how I'd propose to document the tools collection.
Additions to the colletion are welcome.
