The problem I see is that currently Geir is the major coordinator
and the other "committers" are just lurking and only doing minor
commits in things that itch them. Other issues and proposals
are left to Geir to decide...

I would at least expect the other comitters voting such that
the Jakarta rules can be applied and one of the committers
has the chance of becoming active. If Geir votes -1, then other
committers are stopped.

I guess that all of us that have done proposals in the past
and question why nothing happened, should resubmit it again
now to get the ball rolling again - for 1.4.

Since I've been on the list and contributing code, patches and user
support since the very beginning of velocity, would the committers
welcome me into the team? - I guess that one of them could/should
start a thread "[VOTE] Christoph Reck as a committer to Velocity"...
