heh heh, well, since it's a wiki -- page creation is just part of the normal
stuff... I'm not sure how you'd even go about stopping it, aside from
friendly social engineering (i.e. posting on the wiki.apache.org homepage
something like, "please don't create homepages because it will cause Jakarta
to blow up and Geir to get hives.")
It was a community decision that we expected people to respect. It worked fine.
If that didn't work, we'd get a wiki that had accounts, and boot that person :)
And if that didn't work, we would put this picture on each page :

FYI -- I accidentally noticed in the SiteMap that a recent page I
"previewed" was saved as a backup through a "sub-page" under my homepage.
(i.e. MoinMoin does some weirdness where slashes denote sub-pages - ex.
TimColson/SubPageFoo) That contradicts the help topic which says it will be
an "attachement"...but if you folks don't want user HomePages, it's a moot
point anyhow. ;-)
Ok --Also -- it doesn't look like DeletePage is enabled either. :-(Send a note to infrastructure...

I will follow-up after I get back from 7 days of biking 600 miles to raise
awareness and money to fight AIDS/HIV. :-)
