It's cool :)

I agree with Nathan. It's a bit of an orphan at the moment.

Actually, there's a critical bug on this...
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/VELOCITY-413

That notes DVSL doesn't appear to work with upcoming Velocity 1.5 release. Possibly this is now working since we've fixed a few backwards-compatibily bugs in Velocity core.

I was planning on diving into this at some point, but I'm not enthused about supporting something I've never used.

Subject: Re: DVSL - ever released?

i'm not especially familiar with DVSL, but here's what little i can
say... DVSL has yet to reach 1.0, and honestly, i'm not sure it ever
will unless it finds a champion. I think it has promise, but since
Geir stopped working on it, it really hasn't moved. i'm a little
surprised that he (or whoever it was that built the 0.45 version)
didn't tag that in CVS, but i would venture to guess that only minor
bug fixes (at most) have happened since then and that Geir
semi-arbitrarily chose to call a particular build a 0.45 "release".

A colleague noticed that while there's a 0.45 jar of velocity-dvsl in
the Maven repository; there are no tags in SVN and there's been no
release on the site. I took a quick look and he's right; it's not a
cvs2svn issue as there were no tags in CVS either.

Is the 0.45 jar an unofficial rogue one?
