Searching for 2 highly technical manual system test engineers that can do
both front-end and back-end testing. Must have Quality Center, UNIX, SQL,
XML. Nice to have QTP but not looking for automated testers.
· N-Tier (ideally J2EE) Web Based Systems Testing (5+ years)
(required)
· Quality Center/Test Director or similar Test Tool Repository
(required)
· Test Automation Experience (2 Years +) (required) ****** Not looking

About the Position:
The Application Tester is responsible for participating in all phases of the
software testing process from requirements analysis through production
launch. He/She is expected to serve as a subject matter expert on both the
application under test and on current testing techniques/methodologies. As a
member of the testing team, the System Test Engineer will serve as a source
of information for other members of the test team as well as for external
technology and business partners. Specific activities/responsibilities
include:
Prepare for and participate in walkthroughs of business requirement and
technical specification documents
Decompose business requirements and technical specifications into testable
elements, test cases, and test scripts
Understand and highlight the potential impact of proposed enhancements to
both the business process and the technical platform
Provide the test lead with accurate estimated LOE for executing test cases.
Execute test cases, reporting progress and issues in a timely and accurate
manner
Conduct root cause analysis of identified defects, providing
development/business partners with sufficient detail to understand,
replicate and resolve
