JOB DESCRIPTION: SAN Storage Engineer - Jersey City, NJ - 9 month CONTRACT* *Required Skills: Working knowledge of multiple storage technologies - Hardware (EMC, Hitachi, and IBM), Configuration Tools (EMC Control Center, Hitachi Hi-Command etc.), Volume Management Tools (Veritas Volume Manager, EMC PowerPath), Tape Archival (Veritas Netbackup) and geographic data replication technologies. Experience with SAN Switching Fabrics / protocols: Cisco, Fiber Channel, Fiber Channel over Internet Protocol (FCIP), iSCSI, FICON. Experience working in mid to large scale storage environments of 100TB+. Out-of-the-box thinker driven to lower costs using conventional/non-conventional solutions. Vendor certifications in storage related solutions desired. Financial Services industry experience desired. Strong understanding of project management methodologies and processes desired. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Must be able to prepare, present, and maintain technical documentation.
