*HOT REQUIREMENT!!!* Job Title : Database Administrator Location : Charleston, SC Length : 6 months Contract Rate : OPEN *Job Duties :* Manages and maintains all production and non-production databases. Responsible for standards and design of physical data storage, maintenance, access and security administration. Performs backup and recovery on Database Management Systems, configures database parameters, and prototype designs against logical data models, defines data repository requirements, data dictionaries and warehousing requirements. This position optimizes database access and allocates/re-allocates database resources for optimum configuration, database performance and cost. *Scope of Work:* The database administrator’s role is to design, install, monitor, maintain, and performance tune databases while ensuring high levels of data availability. *Primary Functions:* • Exhibit superior customer service skills. • Assume ownership of assigned tasks and projects, execute all assigned tasks to quality completion and inform immediate supervisor of any delays, setbacks, or failures. • Install and configure relevant network components to ensure database access as well as database security, consistency, and integrity. • Respond to and resolve database access and performance issues • Coordinate and work with other technical staff to develop relational databases and secondary databases. • Coordinate and work with other technical staff to establish appropriate end-user database access control levels and methods. • Monitor database system details within the database, including stored procedures and execution time, and implement efficiency improvements. • Monitor, optimize and allocate physical data storage for database systems. • Perform database transaction and basic security audits on a routine basis.
