Location :BaskinRidge, NJ Rate:$45/hr AI This candidate should be able to demonstrate a strong drive and experience in Oracle 10g/11g RAC, ASM Clustering, Streams replication, SAS, Backup and Recovery mechanism. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Database design and support and understanding of broad architecture within a telecom organization. Daily Responsibilities: Database Administration - execution of change controls, routine maintenance, SQL scripting, Unix Shell scripting, performance monitoring, tuning, and Database diagnostics Oracle database application designs- like Transportable tablespace, Partition exchanges and management. Must support, domain leadership on Emergency Response calls (ERT), driving Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Preventative action follow- though, and participation in weekly operations reviews Develop and implement Database security policies and procedures, in line with corporate objectives Regular proactive capacity planning and tending reviews of all oracle databases. Project Estimation process - including attending project kick-offs and design reviews as necessary to appropriately size new environments, recommend infrastructure solutions and deliver associated cost and resource effort estimates Maintain detailed technical documentation (e.g. standards, process, Run Books) Mentors and trains less senior DBAs, as necessary Excellent communication and documentation skills Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university 3+ years of experience with data modeling with Logical and Physical database layout 3+ years of experience directly working with SQL, PL/SQL, PERL/Unix Shell, tuning and debugging Minimum of 3 years with Oracle Database backups using RMAN / Manual scripting Experience in SAS, ETL(Abinitio) is a plus PeopleSoft Admin Experience required with PIA 8.9/9.0 is a plus Must demonstrate expert level proficiency in Oracle11g RAC, Streams and ODI 2+ years of experience with ASM Clustering, Streams replication, ASO (TDE all aspects, Data Vault etc.) Some experience with OEM with Grid Control required Some experience with Backup and Recovery mechanism required Some experience with Oracle Data Guard a plus Must demonstrate the ability to suggest methodologies and standards for Backup/Recovery and Upgrades Must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple configurations with multiple Oracle level installs (10G-11G) Must demonstrate the ability to handle multiple application installs for PeopleSoft HR/Payroll, ELM and Data Warehouse (Cognos front end) Preferred: Demonstrates excellent problem diagnosis and analytical skills Exhibits the ability and tenacity to resolve open issues Efficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Project, Visio) Fortune 500 or Telecom Experience If you have any consultant matching for this opening, please send to [email protected].
