Location : Mountain View , CA Duration: Full Time Rate: Be Competitive * Job Description:* We have a Job opening for* Storage Engineer* with one of our Direct Client.The ideal candidate should have following skills. Must have 10+ or more years experience in maintaining multi-tiered storage infrastructure leveraging Hitachi hardware and software Proficient in configuring Hitachi USPV, USP, and AMS1000 products. Strong knowledge of LUN masking and storage Provisioning. Must have 5 or more years experience in the installation and zoning of Fiber Switches (Brocade and McData, CISCO MDS Switches) Solid understanding in implementing Hitachi Replication Manager Software for Exchange, SQL, or Oracle Database in a heterogeneous environment. Responsible for configuration, layout and performance tuning of storage infrastructure. Plans, coordinates, and is responsible for the execution of the business continuance and disaster recovery plans per business requirements. A big plus if you have 5 or more years experience in implementing DR solutions which involve distance replication (i.e. FCIP, IFCP etc.) Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and WINS infrastructure in a large corporate environment Performs necessary storage infrastructure maintenance in accordance with change management policies. Participate in Root Cause Analysis reviews when applicable. BS Degree or equivalent 10+ years in a storage / technology environment Cross-Functional skill (Windows, Linux, and Solaris) Proficiency in Hitachi hardware, software, and/or operating systems environments Knowledge of job associated programming and scripting languages (Perl, Shell, etc) Possesses strong product/technology/industry knowledge Technical Skills: Hitachi USP, AMS1000, AMS2500 storage configuration and allocation Brocade DCX and Cisco Director MDS fabric zoning Hitachi Storage Navigator, Device Manager, Tuning Manager McData EFCM Brocade DCFM Solaris, VMware, Windows, Linux understanding required, particularly Emulex HBA configuration Must be flexible with hours and able to work weekends when required Detailed Description: Responsible for the storage configuration and operations management, along with daily storage management tasks in a complex environment. The environment for this position contains multiple platforms of Hitachi storage hardware, Hitachi software, and other infrastructure products. You will also be responsible for ongoing improvement of processes and applying best practices for the environment based on Hitachi standards. Skills: Infrastruture Leveraging Hitachi. Hitachi USPV, USP, and AMS1000. Installation and Zoning Fiber Switches(Brocade and McData, CISCO MDS Switches). Hitachi Replication Manager Software. Distance Replication using FCIP, IFCP.
