Job Title : Sharepoint/.Net Developer
Location : Herndon, VA
Duration : 12 months Contract

Description
The External Data platform team is responsible for support the maintenance
of a highly customized Sharepoint 2007 platform, as well as MS-SQL and
Oracle backend databases associated with this platform. The position will
require detailed knowledge of Sharepoint (including knowledge of the Windows
Sharepoint Services and MOSS .NET libraries), MS-SQL, and various SQL
clients. It will also require strong communication skills, and the incumbent
will be expected to interact directly with customer regarding issues and
resolutions.
The duties associated with this position include Sharepoint development and
administration, .NET development, deployment of web-parts, event handlers
and the like, monitoring space usage, diagnosing errors, administering
distributed databases, and performing database modifications. Additonal
duties include processing of problem tickets through Remedy. Familiarity
with T-SQL and MS-SQL data structures and administration is a must.
Familiarity with Remedy is also a plus.
Candidates must be very strong with SharePoint and .net. Candidates must
have strong communication as they will deal with external users.
