Peoplesoft Technology Operations Manager

Location: Mountain View,CA

Duration: 6 months


Job Summary:   PeopleSoft Technology Operations team is responsible for day to 
day support of development, test and production of PeopleSoft and boundary 
systems. 
 These PeopleSoft technology systems are deployed in support of the Enterprise 
Business and support the business functions of HR. This team is also 
responsible 
for the support the satellite systems and interfaces across all the internal 
and external business applications including Equity Edge, payroll, 
compensation, 
workforce logic, medical, benefits, and other internal custom applications.  
This role will be the lead for the PeopleSoft technology Operations team.  This 
person will be the thought leader and the deep technical skill for this 
application's 
technology implementation.  This person will be the go to person for all deep 
technical issues.  This person will also be responsible for the training, 
mentoring 
and quality of the PeopleSoft technology operation's team.  This role will 
require 
interfacing with the applications teams to understand the business processes 
and impact of these systems in delivering of this enterprise application to the 
business.  Under the guide of the L2 PeopleSoft Operations Manager, be 
responsible 
for the following areas: Housekeeping, space management, account management, 
deployment of application changes, monitoring, triage, ticket resolution and 
troubleshooting of all technology related issues.  The weekly report of 
progress, 
SLA compliance and immediate escalation of issues is critical for this team's 
success.  This position requires participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation.      
Job Requirements:  Ability to perform  and assist less skilled team members 
with 
the following tasks: · Resolution of helpdesk tickets · Monitoring Alerts for 
Database and Applications · Database and Applications backups monitoring · Any 
day to day ad-hoc monitoring requests · Start/Stop database and other Apps 
services 
· Account and role administration · Database and applications Cloning and 
refreshes 
· Database Patching · Application Patching · Peripheral Applications Support 
· Applications Support  · Release management/Change Management (Data fixes, 
migrations 
to production) execution
