Infrastructure Architect The position is responsible for strategy, standards, oversight, & project/design support of Horace Mann's infrastructure ecosystem. The sphere of technologies includes, but is not limited to, networking, storage, server platform, desktop platform, mainframe and infrastructure related support software. In addition to the technical competence, the candidate must be able to show benefits, strategy alignment and reduced core expenses for technical proposals. Therefore, the candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as they will interact with all levels from C-level to the technical implementer. Skill sets: . IT Operations processes; such as: o Change Management o Backup / restore o Problem resolution . TCP/IP networking; especially with CISCO technologies . Microsoft related technologies such as o Desktop and Server OS o Exchange o SharePoint o SCCM . VMWare virtualization . VDI technologies; such as Citrix or VMWare View . Hosting and cloud computing . SAN expertise . Desktop environment management o Deployment o Backup o Security . Mainframe environment management . Project Management Preferred skills but not required: . ITIL . TOGAF .
