Mountain View, CA 6 months Local candidates ONLY BA minimum of 8 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA Hands-on experience with SQL Server 2008 is a MUST. Lead automation efforts for capturing quality internal information. Provide capacity planning analysis for database resource requirements. Must have solid understanding of DBMS, specifically in the areas of internal architecture and performance tuning in order to apply to routing issues. Provide advanced consulting to the application development teams in determining their DBMS needs. Provide leadership in resolving problems with production SQL server databases and tracking SQL server problems. Majority of issues involve medium to high technical complexity, where analysis of data requires thinking and independent judgment, with some direction from management. Accountable to project leads, group mid-level managers, and production managers for the support and integration of new DBMS processes/technologies.
