Run JMeter and Silk performance tests and gather metrics including system metrics . Experience with java memory and CPU profiling and identifying bottlenecks. . Good understanding of running JVMs in a Linux environment and OS and system tuning. . Some Experience with system tuning and gathering OS (Linux) metrics. . Experience with JBoss App server. . Understanding of java Garbage Collection behavior and various configurations available for that.. . Understanding java performance tuning and java performance characteristics in a multi-threaded environment. . Remote debugging applications and identifying and troubleshooting issues. . Some java Experience (to the extent of quickly making performance related changes to code for testing) will be helpful. .
