Title: Oracle DBA Location: Charlotte, NC Duration: 6 Months + Job Description Oracle DBA to work on the Oracle Character set Conversion Project The leased employee will be assisting in the upgrade and character set conversion of RAC databases with the aid of Oracle's Golden Gate utility. Identification and resolution of character set conversion problems will be essential as we are converting from Western European to UTF8 and not all characters will convert seamlessly. The person should be familiar with set up and operation of Golden Gate between different Oracle RAC versions and character sets on AIX systems. They should also be familiar with common errors encountered and their resolution. Documentation of the setup will be required. Perform other duties as assigned. Experience with Oracle clustered database systems (RAC), 3-5 years Proficiency using Oracle Golden Gate and csscan utility. Proficient at command line scripting in Unix (PERL scripting is a plus) Skills Desired: Experience with Oracle Golden Gate software. Experience with Oracle RAC databases, versions 9, 10, 11. Experience with Oracle database upgrades, migrations, character set conversions.
