*Position : IBM WebSphere Commerce Location : Burnsville, MN Duration : 6-9 month contract* *Must-haves* 3 years related work experience with IBM WebSphere Commerce 6/7 and Endeca implementing B2C solutions. Familiarity with testing methodologies for web applications 2 years related work experience with IBM DB2 in a high performance environment. 2 years related work experience with Linux, AIX, or Unix 1 years related work experience with WebSphere MQ Thorough knowledge of programming methodology, design patterns and best practices for Java J2EE applications. Demonstrated ability to effectively design, develop, and test high performance J2EE applications. Ability to work independently, or in teams, in a multitasking environment, often under stress and tight deadlines. Experience in system design and analysis. *Role:* You will build J2EE applications using a variety of skills including, but not limited to, JSP, Java, JavaScript, AJAX, JSON, HTML, CSS, and XML utilizing IBM Rational Application Developer. You will in charge of building high performance JDBC and Enterprise Java Beans to interact with DB2 database system. You are in charge of builds for cache performance, including usage of CDN, Servlet Caching, Command Caching, Cache Tuning, Cache invalidation and related concepts and technologies in a WebsphereJ2EE application environment Imports, exports and deploys Java objects using SVN repositories from RAD and TortoiseSVN. Uses Agile programming methodologies, Guerrilla or SCRUM preferred. Troubleshoots the WebSphere Commerce and Endeca applications by reviewing appropriate application error logs on a regular basis to identify and correct errors. Performs testing of website functionality and features at both the component and application level and maintains a test environment that is synchronized with production codebase to ensure a quality development environment. Works with supervisor to update and maintain the E-Commerce Runbook, Wiki, Ticket Tracking for new feature/function implementation and bug/break fix maintenance. Technical familiarity with interfacing with Software as a Service and 3-Party client and server integrations for ratings, reviews, AB Testing, MVT, analytics through JavaScript and REST Web Services. Utilizes MQ and JMS for building synchronous and asynchronous application message flows Tunes application and application funnel for high performance operations. Keeps supervisor informed of important developments, potential problems and related information necessary for effective management.
