Possibility of contract to hire. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing applications and integrations using SQL Server, and for creating data warehouses using Microsoft Analysis Services ( SSAS ). Secondary responsibilities include tuning SQL Server installations to ensure availability, reliability, scalability and performance. You will contribute to all areas of DB development and will work closely with developers and analysts regarding the modeling, implementation and administration of DB servers. In addition, you will assist in making and implementing recommendations concerning DB related components of development efforts.* *Requirements:* * * 5 years as a SQL Server Developer or equivalent. * Extensive experience with T-SQL, data architecture and database design. * Extensive experience with SSAS data modeling and building cubes. * Strong knowledge and experience with database performance and tuning. * Strong working knowledge of de-normalized data structures, ad hoc query and reporting. * Understanding of the concepts behind XML data exchange and service oriented architectures. * Highly motivated and extremely detailed-oriented, with strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent business knowledge, especially in the areas of parts, orders, shipping, distribution, etc. and the ability to communicate with business stakeholders. * Experience with SQL Server installation and configuration ( 2005, 2008 and/or 2008 R2 ), as well as knowledge and experience with database backup and recovery is desired. * SQL Server Integration Services ( SSIS ), Service Broker and Reporting Services ( SSRS ) experience; DTS and BCP data manipulation.
