Sybase Database Administrator required to work with the regional database services team to provide high level database expertise for day to day support of production and development servers. DBA Support for application teams and overspill from Level 2 Global Sybase/SQL Team. The successful candidate must have an excellent track record of performance tuning skills down to a SQL code level. They must be familiar with performance investigations using MDA and sysmon and be able to produce effective results quickly. Extensive knowledge and experience of Sybase ASE and Replication server administration ideally within the banking/financial industry. Must have experience and knowledge of the following RDBMS technologies: Sybase ASE 12.5 and 15 Sybase Replication Server 12 and 15 Also required: A good working knowledge of Solaris and Redhat Linux. Excellent database performance tuning skills and SQL code tuning skills. A good working knowledge of Oracle and Goldengate replication would be an advantage.
