*Job Description : *
*You are a Systems Administrator looking for new unique challenges. You're
lazy and don't like to do things the hard way: automate everything. As an
engineer on the Infrastructure team, you'll write tools to rapidly deploy
systems, engineer systems that are resilient to failure, and write tools to
manage configurations on thousands of nodes. They support the
infrastructure 24x7, but they've engineered systems that generally only
require after-hours intervention once or twice a month.*
*Responsibilities:*
- *Code independantly with our robust configuration-management system*
- *Write tools in the languages of your choice to make administration
easier*
- *Create self-healing monitors for thousands of production nodes*
- *Evaluate and test virtualization management technologies to support
their rapidly expanding cloud*
- *Facilitate physical machine deployment at over half a dozen staffed
data centers*
- *Investigate and diagnose system availability issues*
- *Communicate with their development organization as a concierge of
Operations*
*Qualifications:*
- *Four-year engineering degree or equivalent relevant work experience*
- *Advanced understanding of Linux systems architecture*
- *Experience managing large-scale infrastructure*
- *Eagerness to work as a team and become an integral part of their
family*
- *Experience working with Chef*
- *Preferred Experience: *
- *Familiarity with configuration-management*
- *Experience with monitoring technologies*
- *Fluency in one or more systems-relevant programming languages*
