*Position Overview:*
*In this position, you will be in three roles simultaneously. First, you
will accept requirements gathered by our team and translate those
requirements to technical specification that you will use in our
development team develop/enhance a web-based application. Second, you will
architect, develop and unit test the application as a hands on developer
using JAVA tools and IDE’s that support the Java programming language.
Third, you will manage the solution’s implementation and post-release
support as a Tier 3 Support team member. *
*Preferred Skills and Background:*
- *Extensive experience developing within the Java toolset and realted
SDK’s.*
- *Experience with testing and deploying applications within a JAVA /
Web application distribution model.*
- *Experience with Agile software development methodologies*
- *Experience in application development interfaces within a
multi-tiered web based environment using tools as JAVA, Visual Studio, and
open source tools (such as PHP).*
- *Experience using Oracle Database version 11g / SQL Server 2005 is a
plus.*
- *Experience using Git/Jira/Zephyr/SVN for version control is a plus.*
*Required Skills and Background:*
- *Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or closely related degree*
- *1-3+ years software development experience writing/testing commercial
software*
- *Experience with a variety of software development methodologies*
- *Excellent organizational and management skills*
- *Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English
language*
- *Self-motivated and thrives in a team environment*
*Responsibilities:*
- *Deliver on-time, accurate, and stable application software.*
- *Works daily with the program manager, fellow developers, QA, and
other key product team members in setting product direction and strategy*
- *Works regularly with all functions of the organization in order to
deliver assignments on schedule*
- *Maintains and updates a development software release plan based on
the needs of the project and team. This plan involves tasks, milestones,
risk mitigation, testing, documentation, and training.*
