The right candidate would be someone who is a strong Developer but who also 'thinks' like a QA tester. This team is responsible for the overall quality of the company's platforms which include: Big Data, ecommerce, and Authentication applications. You will be required to test the central authentication core platform, which provides SSO (single sign-on authentication) for all internal/external applications (these platforms/applications include internal employees and external customer-facing applications (i.e. usernames/passwords for the company's site, and logging in to internal/HR apps., etc.)). In this environment, Python is used to program the tests and Selenium Is used to test the UI. In addition, you will be responsible for working with the team's Authentication team to optimize their existing test automation codebase (the test framework is written i! n Python and it is already built out). This team is looking for someone to come in and continue to build out the Python framework environment, look at the architecture/infrastructure, make changes/fix what is wrong, and identify test coverage. You will also be required to add in code, identify performance issues and make sure the environment (i.e. APIs and UI tests) is stabilized/optimized.
